- RFQ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Point Adams Biological Station located in Hammond, Oregon intends to acquire the following items: • Vendor must supply 4 new custom made tangle nets, each measuring 175 hung fathoms in length and 45 ft. deep strung to 37 ft. deep. New nets are to be built with River Leadline, Dura Pac Corkline, Nagaura 1.5x3 Gillnet, #15 Braided white twine, #18 Braided white twine, #120 Braided tarred twine, and #15 green seine twine to the specifications detailed above. • Vendor must refurbish 2 tangle nets, each measuring 175 hung fathoms in length and 45 ft. deep strung to 37 ft. deep with Nagaura 1.5x3 Gillnet mesh, #15 Braided white twine, #18 Braided white twine, #120 Braided tarred twine, and #15 green seine twine. Purchaser will supply the requisite leadline, corkline, and floats for said nets. These supplies must be FOB destination Hammond, Oregon for delivery no later than April 01, 2011. This is a 100% set-aside to small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 341991 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Vendors responding to solicitation must be available locally in the Oregon area to save for shipping costs and be able to repair equipment in an emergency so that we sustain little or no interruption of work. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication.
