- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a Firm Fixed price purchase order to acquire the necessary services (Engineering and Design, Construction, Testing and Delivery) related to the acquisition of three (3) identical new marine deck cranes to be installed on the Dustpan Dredge HURLEY. The Mission Area of the Dredge HURLEY is the Mississippi River from the Memphis District geographical area to the New Orleans and coastal areas The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all necessary labor, material, services and equipment. All work shall be in accordance with the requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work, as well as those outlined in the RFQ. The total performance period for this procurement will be approximately Six (6) months from date of award. The acquisition will be solicited using the procurement process prescribed in FAR Part 12, Commercial Items, of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. All Quotes will be reviewed for completeness in satisfying the requirements of the RFQ and evaluated on the merit against the following evaluation factors listed in descending order of importance; (a) Technical factors: (i) Product (ii) Management, (iii) Past Performance and experience (b) Price factors: Price Reasonableness. Initial price quotes must be submitted along with initial technical proposal to Contracting Officer in accordance with the requirements of Evaluation Criteria of the RFQ. The Government may award a contract on the basis of initial quotes received without discussions; therefore, and offerors will be advised that quotes should contain the offeror's best terms. This is a Small Business Set Aside under NAICS Code 336611 No. of Employees 1000. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Registration for plans and specs should be made via FBO Internet homepage. Hardcopies will not be available. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 or more are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. Information on submitting your report may be obtained by calling 703-461-2460 or by accessing the following Internet web site: http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at http://www.ccr.gov. Information on getting registered may be obtained by phoning 1-888-227-2423 or on the website. Solicitation Number W912BU-10-T-0065 will be issued on or about Monday 09 August 2010 with quotes due on or about Tuesday, 17 August 2010. Mailed or emailed quote submissions will be accepted. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
