- A firm fixed price contract for Modeling, Simulation and Control of Army Installation Microgrids to Enhance Stability, Security and Reliability has been awarded to Michigan Technological University, located at 1400 Townsend Drive, Houghton, MI 49931-1295 in response to solicitation number W912HZ-09-BAA03, Topic 7-1, Micro-Grid Field Scaled Demonstration. The principal objective of this project is to develop a detailed simulation model of the electrical system of a subset of buildings at Fort Sill OK and then use that model to design the controls and operation of an optimized microgrid. The period of performance will be 20 months commencing on 09 Aug 2010.
