Description
THE FOLLOWING IS ONLY A SYNOPSIS/PRESOLICITATION. NO DRAWINGS OR SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE ATTACHED UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS COMPLETE AND POSTED ON WWW.FBO.GOV Project Number 0700192: Renovation of Facility20011, Phase II. Solicitation Number FA8601-10-R-0084 The scope of Project 0700192, Renovate Facility 20011, Phase II this project consists of the interior gut and renovation of the second floor of bldg 11 and replacement of the windows on the first and second floor. Second floor interior work includes complete reconfiguring of the floor plan to allow optimum space utilization. Work includes replacement of all electrical wiring, light fixtures, ceiling system, communications, fire detection & suppression system, and finishes. New windows will be the original size as opposed to the current smaller opening. This will require removal of the infill that was installed when the current replacement windows were installed and some structural reinforcement. Base Bid: A lump sum bid shall be submitted for all work in Project 0700192 to furnish all materials and perform all labor required for the renovation of Facility 20011 Phase 2, including associated architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and miscellaneous work as show on the project drawings and described in the specifications. Optional Bid #1: A lump sum bid shall be submitted for all work in Project 0700192 Renovate Facility 20011 Phase 2. Furnish all labor, materials and equipment required to provide steel exterior replacement windows in lieu of aluminum exterior replacement windows in accordance with the project drawings and as described in the specifications. The estimated price range is between $5M and $10M. The estimated performance period is 365 days. The NAICS Code is 236220. The size standard is $33.5M. This is a RESTRICTED procurement for 8(a) set-aside listed in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program Act of 1988, Public Law 100-656 (15 U.S.C. 644 note). In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of solicitations issued after 31 May 1998. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov, or telephone at 1-888-CCR-2423. Every solicitation issued after 31 May 1998 must include the clause at DFARS 252.204-7004, "Required Central Contractor Registration. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CONCERNS: Building is a historic facility and is subject to State Historic Preservation Office ( SHPO ) oversight. NOTES: (1) The solicitation will be available on the website on or about 13 August 2010, at www.fbo.gov. The specifications and drawings will be posted along with the solicitation. Documents posted prior to solicitation release are for informational purposes only. (2) Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be provided. However, you may download and print the file from the website. (3) There is no fee for this solicitation. (4) A hard copy of the solicitation will be available for review at Dayton Builders Exchange, Minority Contractor Business Assistance Program, and F.W. Dodge Division in Dayton, OH. (5) A registration page will be attached to the website. You are not required to register. However, when you register you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addendums that may be issued to the solicitation. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the website for any changes to the solicitation. (6) Contractors shall be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount (7) You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 by the proposal closing date specified in the solicitation. (8) Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with such contractors. Proposals prepared by Debarred, Suspended, or otherwise ineligible contractors are at the risk and expense of the contractor.
