- The VA Healthcare Network in Upstate NY (VISN 2) has a requirement for Transcription Services to be provided through a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Set Aside procurement under the authority of VAAR 819.70 and Public Law 109-461. This procurement is to provide transcription services for the VA Healthcare Network in Upstate NY (VISN 2), and must be awarded to a contractor that has the ability to migrate voice files and data from the current VA Owned Transcription System's Proprietary Software (Nuance Enterprise System). The contractor will also be required to provide all upgrades to the system, security and connections in accordance with NIST Compliance standards. These services include quality, timely transcribed reports on a daily basis to be directly loaded into the VA Clinical Patient Record system. The contractor must supply all equipment, licenses, and transcriptionists to ensure secure and safe 24X7, 365 day services. Any lapse in services could have a negative impact on patient care. Contractors are not to utilize any off-shore services.
