- requirements Notice Type: Notice of Intent - Sole Source The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Acquisition Management Division, on behalf of the NIST Technology Services (TS) Division, intends to negotiate with Carahsoft Technology; Reston, VA, on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106-1 (b), Soliciting from a Single Source, to provide the renewal described below. Background: The Weights and Measures Division in TS requires continual use of the Adobe Connect Pro web conferencing solution that is technologically compatible to TS' existing Web development infrastructure based on Adobe software in order to extend its' Adobe business systems to more effectively support customers. The only brand that can successfully integrate with TS' Adobe web infrastructure and meet the additional requirements attached, is Adobe Connect Pro solution. NIST intends to procure a renewal of the licenses for the existing system. Recent market research shows that Carahsoft is Adobe's only Federal Government distributer for the Adobe Connect product line. The NAICS Code is 511210. NIST anticipates negotiating and awarding a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Carahsoft for this requirement. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for NIST to provide these services may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before August 16, 2010 at 12 pm EST. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
