- The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center is soliciting proposals for a contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials and supervision in order to provide preventative maintenance of track lifts. Services shall be in accordance with the Work Statement (WS) of the contract. The anticipated Period of Performance for these services is 31 August 2010 through 30 August 2010 with 4 option years. This solicitation will result in a firm fixed-price contract. This procurement is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Small Businesses. The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is VA247-10-RFP-0258. The applicable NAICS code is 423450 and the small business size standard is 100. TELEPHONIC REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. When issued, the solicitation will be available only by downloading from the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov/. The estimated issue date is on or around 9 August 2010, and the anticipated closing date is 18 August 2010 at 12:00:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. The proposal shall be completed and returned for a price evaluation. The Government reserves the right to reject any or all proposals at any time. Prospective offerors are urged to submit any questions they may have in writing to Iridious T. Ruise at iridious.ruise@va.gov. NLT 12 August 2010. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a quote must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code). Quotes will be accepted by email or fax. Interested parties should submit their company name, mailing address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, and business status to.
