- The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for: The firm fixed price contract line item numbers will be as follows: CLIN 0001 - Quantum Gold Support Model 7-00084-88, 7x24x4hr for Scalar i2k with 700 Slots; Serial Number: 203101642, QTY 1 LOT CLIN 0002 - Quantum Gold Support Model 7-00084-67, 7x24x4hr For Scalar i2k; 100 Additional Slots (Qty 3 total), QTY 1 LOT CLIN 0003 - Quantum Gold Support Model 7-00087-52, 7x24x4hr for Scalar i2k Drives (Qty 26 Total), QTY 1 LOT NAWCAD intends to negotiate solely with Quantum the above service with an anticipated award date of 1 OCT 2010. This acquisition supports the annual hardware maintenance renewal for Quantum (ADIC) hardware. The Quantum Scalar 1iK is a SAN-enabled tape library that is used for consolidated enterprise backup and archiving. The Quantum Scalar performs backup, archive, and restore operations for the PAX 7.2 Data Center and is an integral component with the Data Center infrastructure. Quantum owns all proprietary rights to the produces listed. This is for maintenance onl. Delivery will be no later than 30 OCT 2010 NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER (PAX) --- RECEIVING OFFICER SUPPLY DEPARTMENT BLDG.665 SUITE 100 47179 VAUGHN RD PATUXENT RIVER MD 20670-1614 FOB: Destination All responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement, which shall be considered by the agency. The Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement will consider all capabilities statements received. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc. in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis for this service based upon the responses received. FAR Clause will be included: 52.232-18 AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS (APR 1984) Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. The Government will not pay for any information received.
