The requirement is source controlled and is restricted to approved source of supplies Trelleborg Sealing Solutions US Inc. Cage 09257. Their part number is S34273 and Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corporation Cage 05939. Their part number is 060004196. This solicitation is restricted to Trelleborg Sealing Solutions US Inc. Cage 09257 and Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corporation Cage 05939. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. Requirements are 244 Each, Seal Assembly. FOB is Destination. For use on the M1A1 Tank. Estimated issue date is 01 Sep 2010. According to FAR subpart 5.207(c)(15)(ii), a synopsis for noncompetitive contract actions using the sole source authority at 6.302-1 must include...a statement that all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. In other words, a synopsis for a noncompetitive contract action may not be limited for subcontracting purposes only. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capacity to satisfy the Governments requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
