- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), Cleveland Weather Forecast Office (WFO), has a need for NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter Maintenance. The following locations require NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter Maintenance: CLIN 0001 Maintenance on NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter Located at Erie, PA CLIN 0002 Maintenance on NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter Located at Meadville, PA The acquisition will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 12. This acquisition is reserved solely for small businesses. The NAICS for this acquisition is 811213, Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $7.0 Million. The RFQ, EA133W-10-RQ-1277, will be issued on or about August 16, 2010, with quotes due seven (7) calendar days thereafter. Award will be made subject to the Availability of Funds, FAR Clause 52.232-18. This procurement will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order on or about August 30, 2010, with a 12-month base term and four 12-month option terms. The period of performance for the base term shall be October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. The RFQ will be issued via electronic posting on the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FEDBIZOPPS for the release of the RFQ, specifications, drawings and all subsequent amendments. The Scheduled Maintenance Task will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov with the RFQ. Prospective offerors who are interested in submitting a proposal for this acquisition are encouraged to register with the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service and to be on the Interested Vendors List for this acquisition (see applicable tab within FedBizOpps where this synopsis is posted). Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at www.ccr.gov; offerors must also obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number and provide it with the offer. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency.
