- NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, intends to award a sole-source contract to AF&S Products & Services, Inc., 34 Maricopa CT, Palm Desert, CA 9221-4201 to provide The Sterling Readiness Rounds Service Readiness Program to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Augusta, GA 30904-6285. This service is structured based on the needs of the VAMC for compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards, OIG requirements, and SOAR/VISN readiness EOC rounds. The contractor shall provide easy to use preprinted Scranton forms for teams to use in conducting rounds or audits, forms MUST be customizable to VAMC, Augusta, GA. The contractor shall provide professionally graphed documents resulting from rounds or audits which identify trends. The contractor shall work with VAMC to gather and structure all relevant information required to implement readiness rounds; this includes but is not limited to, developing annual schedules and inspection questions that will be incorporated into the process. Contractor shall provide monthly scheduled forms to VAMC, with a complete packet providing a comprehensive look at the facilities shortcoming or faults. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Juan A. Jusino, Contract Specialist, at juan.jusino@va.gov or FAX: (478) 274-5771 by August 20, 2010 by 2:00 PM EST. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541611 with a Small Business Size Standard of $7 million. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
