Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center intends to negotiate a Contract on a sole source basis to LGS Innovations of McLeansville, NC for two (2) each TACBSR Global Services mobile (GSM) ruggedized, mobile Pico cell Cellular base stations in order to support the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA. This requirement is being issued on a sole source basis as only LGS Innovations has the ability to provide this Cellular Base station with the necessary specifications: The base station is required to operate 802.16e 2005 version and have WiMAX base station capability. The device is required to be a single unit, small size (factor form), ruggedized, vehicle powered equipped, and interoperable with commercial cellular standards. Due to their expertise, knowledge, and familiarly with this product, it has been determined that LGS Innovation is the only known manufacturer of small form-factor, ruggedized cellular base stations suitable for tactical employment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received within seven (7) days(commercial purchase procedures are being used with FAR 13.5 procedures) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
