Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This proposed procurement action is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990 with a small business size standard of $14.0 million. The National Park Service requires the removal, purchase, and installation of the following: NOTE: All new doors shall meet the current NFPA fire standards. CLIN 0001) Remove four (4) wooden doors and all associated wooden door jams, thresholds, and hardware and recycle to the greatest extent possible. If recycling is not possible, dispose of in accordance with State, County, and City codes. The door handle locks shall be removed and reused. If it is not possible to reuse the locksets, return to the govt. NOTE: The wooden door jams are attached to the poured concrete interior walls. Supply and install four (4) new 36"x80" thirty minute fire rated doors, thresholds, steel door jams, and all associated hardware to make the doors fully operational. The two doors to be installed in the archival storage area will need to out swing. The door hardware, I.E. door handle locks will be Best hardware and door handle locks/dead bolt locks that are keyed to the Best Lock system with a construction core installed with two (2) construction control keys. The doors shall be primed with fire retardant primer and two coats of fire retardant paint. The govt. will supply the contractor with the paint color and paint numbers. CLIN 0002) In the Maintenance Storage area, install a new smoke seal and new thresholds on the current interior doors in order to make them impervious to smoke in the event of a fire in the adjacent room. CLIN 0003) Remove two (2) 27-3/4" x 83-1/4" interior fire rated doors going into the Research Center and dispose of in accordance with State, County, and City codes. Purchase and install two (2) new 27-3/4" x 83-1/4" bronze anodized single tempered safety glass, narrow style, offset pivots, 10" bottom rail, cylinder lock keyed to Best Lock system, push hardware inside, w/store front type handle on the outside of the doors, double acting automatic door closures, out swing. This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses of those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-43. The FAR clause 52-212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation and the award will b emade on the basis of price only. Offers are due by 4:30pm PDT on September 10, 2010.
