Description
TO PROCURE a press brake control system for a hydraulic press brake. This action is in support of the Air Force Packaging Technology and Engineering Facility's (AFPTEF) mission to design, develop, test, and evaluate packaging materials and reusable shipping and storage containers. AFPTEF maintains in-house press brake metal fabrication capabilities. The current hydraulic press brake (Cybelec DNC-90) control system needs to be replaced. This is a Sole Source procurement synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of an item for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed source is PC Controls LLC, Inc., 801 Secretary Dr., Suite A, Arlington, Texas 76015-1625. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. "An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selections process."
