This is an Amendment to the previous combined solicitation and synopsis posted on 08-31-2010. The combined solicitation and synopsis is hereby replaced in its entirety with the attached revised description. The quotation due date and time remain unchanged and is September 9, 2010 by 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. REVISED: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, VA-260-10-RQ-1184, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43 effective August 2, 2010 and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation Supplement (VAAR) current to January 7, 2010. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339115, Size Standard: 500 Employees. This procurement is unrestricted. ITEM DESCRIPTION OF UNIT NO. Order Entry. Databases to include customers, price lists, Rx and stock, material costing, frames, lenses, and subcontracting. The ability to run up to 2,000 jobs per day. Machinery interfaces to include interfaced to all laboratory processing equipment distributed in the US and conveyor systems integration. Digital Surfacing and Free Form lens processing interfaces to include DVI sweeps, Carl Zeiss Vision, Shamir, Seiko, designs, Essilor, and Hoya. Inventory to include lenses, frames, and miscellaneous stock. Customer Service to include Ad Hoc reporting; redo history reporting, job status reporting, remote job status reporting, and late in process job reporting. Stock Invoicing to include lenses, frames and miscellaneous stock items. Tray Tracking to include job process and tracking history. Invoicing to include multi-pricelist, packaged programs support and processing verification/inhibits prior to Rx shipping. Accounts receivable to include balance forward with open item reconciliation. Sales Analysis to include Ad Hoc reporting capabilities, integration with Excel spread sheets, and user defined Flat file data extraction. Rx Archiving to include management information reporting, user defined flat file data extraction and Ad Hoc reporting capabilities. DVI Rx.com (RxWizard remote entry system). Distributed to the ECP by your lab. Reflects only products produced by laboratory. Provides real time lab status reports to the ECP. DVI EPX system (Electronic Interface to remote systems). Interfaces with RxWizard, Eyefinity, Vision Web, Sapient, First Insight and many others.
