- Description
- The U.S. General Services Administration's Art in Architecture Program commissions American artists, working in close consultation with project design teams, to create artwork that is appropriate to the diverse uses and architectural vocabularies of new federal buildings. In the interest of ensuring broad access to these unique works of art, GSA engages in a variety of outreach strategies and produces materials such as videos, banners, plaques, and brochures. GSA Great Lakes Region 5 is seeking to contract with an experienced, professional graphic design firm (Firm) to create 4-8 page brochures for five permanent, site-specific public art projects commissioned through GSA's Art in Architecture Program. When closed, each brochure is to measure 8" x 8" height by width. The featured artworks vary in media, materials, content, and style. Each corresponding brochure is to feature a unique design, tailored to the specific project. The five Art in Architecture projects that will be featured are: "Bugscreen" by Pae White for the plaza of the AJ Celebrezze Federal Building, Cleveland, OH •- "Protagoras" by Charles Ginnever for the Warren E. Burger Federal Building, St. Paul, MN •- "Independence Crossing" by Terrence Karpowicz at the U.S. Border Station/Land Port of Entry, Sault Sainte Marie, MI •- "La Tormenta" by Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle and "Night Before Last/Chicago" by Arturo Herrera at the 101 W. Congress Parkway Federal Building, Chicago, IL •- "The Town-Ho's Story" by Frank Stella for the Ralph H. Metcalfe Federal Building, Chicago, IL GSA will provide requirements in terms of acceptable stock, binding, and overall dimensions. Content, including photographs, information about each artwork (e.g. name of artist, name of location, dimensions, materials, etc.), and narrative description of the artwork, site, and artist, will also be provided by GSA. It is expected that each brochure will be produced in quantities ranging from 5,000 - 10,000. Printing will be handled by GSA. Print pricing is not needed.
