Description
Contract Action Notice FOUR MONTH CONTRACT EXTENSION W911S806D0001 This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington intends to award a sole source contract modification. JBLM has a continuing requirement for Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) Medical Courier services and intends to award a four month contract extension to the incumbent contractor, BECS, Inc. DBA Bankers Express Courier Service under contract W911S806D0001. A competitive follow on procurement is being conducted by Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (d) (1) (B) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (a) (2) (ii) (A) (B), the use of any other source would likely result in a substantial duplication of cost or result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals and is posted for five (5) calendar days. No solicitation document is available and telephonic requests for technical information will not be honored. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. No contract will be awarded on a basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
