- Purchase Specifications Various size paint masks are needed to cover race guards, bearing bore areas, and tiebolt areas on aircraft wheels being painted. The new paint line has an accelerated paint drying process that has reduced the drying time to 1 hour. These masks need to be able to withstand temperatures up to 200 degrees in an IfraRed based oven. The parts being masked do not get any hotter than 200 degrees. Please see the attached purchase specification for a list of the aircraft wheels and the areas that need to be masked. We anticipate that the contractor would have to design and make molds before making the masks. This would likely be a design/build contract with first articles. If you are interested in this acquisition please answer the following questions: 1. What is your company name? 2. What NAICS code do you think this effort falls under? 3. Are you a small business under this NAICS code? 4. If you are a small business are you also: HUBZone, Women owned, SDB, Veteran Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8a? 5. If you are a small business would you be suppling products of your own manufacture? If not of your own manufacture, then would they be manufactured by another small business? 6. Describe your experience with similar acquisitions. 7. As you can see from the purchase specs., drawings and dimensions have not been provided; nevertheless, would this be sufficient information at this time for your company to be able to provide a realistic proposal? If drawings for some of the aircraft items were available could prices for the others aircraft items be extrapolated? 8. Please provide point of contact information.
