- This action has been awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of2009. In compliance with this Act, the Government posts this notice that Delivery Orders1498 and 1499 were issued under contract NNJ08JA02C, the Facilities Contract, to procurefacilities support services for Hurricane Ike Phase II repairs funded by the AmericanRecovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The facilities support services provided underDelivery Orders 1498 and 1499 included: <P>DO 1498: The contractor shall remove the existing roofing system over the North Pump roomof building 32 down to the existing light weight concrete. Design and Install a newroofing system per specifications to meet 130 mph wind uplift requirements. Repaintexisting roof vents; install a new lightning protection system and a fall arrest system.Provide overhead protection, stair towers for access/egress and asbestos and lead paintmitigation to protect workers and building occupants.<P>DO 1499: The contractor shall remove the existing roofing system over the vacuum chamberB portion of high bay in building 32 down to the existing light weight concrete. Designand Install a new roofing system per specifications to meet 130 mph wind upliftrequirements. Repaint existing roof vents; install a new lightning protection system anda fall arrest system. Provide overhead protection, stair towers for access/egress andasbestos and lead paint mitigation to protect workers and building occupants.<P>The funding modification that funded these delivery orders was modification 196. <P>The Facilities Contract is a firm-fixed-price/cost-plus-award fee/award term contractwhich was awarded on a competitive basis. The delivery orders were issued under thefixed-price portion of the contract.
