- VISN 20, VA Puget Sound Healthcare System (VAPSHC), North Branch Contracting, Tacoma WA, 98493 intends to negotiate a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order with Datacom Wireall, 24908 44th Ave E, Spanaway, WA using other than full and open competition in accordance with the Department of Veterans Affairs Information Letter 049-07-08, which places SDVOSBs and VOSBs first and second, respectively, in satisfying VA ™s acquisition requirements. The requirement is for the procurement of moves, adds, and changes of data lines, telephones, and telecom projects for a six months period. The contractor will be responsible for trouble-shooting of data, telephone, and miscellaneous telecom equipment at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake and Seattle facility. The work to be performed by the contractor will support the IT telecom section with mission essential telecom projects at our major campuses. Awarding the purchase order to Datacom Wireall will enable the VA to have a contract in place with a firm that has the technical knowledge and experience working with various special systems and wiring structures at both sites. The statutory authority allowing use of other than full and open competition for this requirement is FAR Part 6-302-5, authorized or required by statute, under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 8127 & 8128 and the Department of Veterans Affairs IL 049-07-08. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government in the future. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement and considered for future reference. All information submitted should support the capability to provide the services needed, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating a bona fide capability to provide the required service.
