- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) as a Request for Quote No. F3Q2AD0214A001. This acquisition will be solicited as a full and open competition. NAICS Code: 334515 Place of Performance/FOB: Robins AFB, GA. Delivery = 13 weeks. Procurement of: 240 Fault Indicators Purchase Description: New Faulted Circuit Indicators Current Reset Type are needed to install on the 78 CEG distribution electrical system. The following deliverable items are required. •· Fault indicators shall be designed to quickly and easily locate faulted sections of cable systems. •· Fault indicators shall have the ability to be installed in pad-mounted distribution transformers, sector cabinets, switchgear and overhead bare conductors. •· Indicator shall reset back to normal position when the continuous current exceeds a nominal value. Units shall have a high trip rating, >=600 amps. •· Installation of units should be achieved on a wide range of cable diameters with a single hotstick. •· A built in inrush restraint feature shall be integral to indicator to eliminate false tripping. Unit should include a filter to prevent tripping on high frequency transients like those caused by capacitive discharges. •· Unit shall provide easy coordination with current limiting fuses and other protection devices by possessing a quick response time. •· Indicator units shall be compatible with a remote eye display which shall easily mount to pad-mounted cabinets with a single hole installation. •· Design basis for this product description is a Cooper Power Systems S.T.A.R. Faulted Circuit Indicators Current Reset Type, part # SCHIS.
