Description
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service intends to issue and award to Modular Component System, on a sole source basis, a contract for (1) each Primus Sterilizer Model #PSS5-C-MESD, the installation, startup and operational instructions. Award is pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)-Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. REQUIREMENT: The Contractor shall provide a stand-alone single door sterilizer, with installation thereof, startup and operational instructions. The sterilizer must have dimensions that are 26"x26"x49" 316L, stainless steel internal chamber, have 208V 3ph., 110V 1 ph. 60Hz control capacity, microprocessor controls, 48KW Electric carbon steel boiler, manually operated door, gravity fed, auto boiler blow down, extendable bottom shelf and additional shelf. The unit shall be complete with standard vacuum, gravity, liquid and test cycles, pneumatic valves, and compressed air to gasket and air compressor. Sterilizer must also have a mirror chamber finish with <10Ra (standard) and a 15 year warranty, non-proprietary parts and a recycling water-saver water system. Sterilizer water recycling system must be eco-friendly and reduce water usage to 15g/cycle and reduce overall water usage by >85% by recycling internally used cool down water. The use of non-proprietary part will ensure parts availability for acquisition and replacement. Award is anticipated NLT September 13, 2010. Responses are to be received within 7 days of this notice. The NAICS Code is 339112, with a Size standard of 500 employees. This procurement will be processed pursuant to FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
