- J&A Notice of Intent for Information Only: This is a Notice of Intent is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for a Quote (RFQ). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. AMIC is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this Notice of Intent will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the government. The Air Combat Command Acquisition and Management Integration Center, (ACC AMIC), Langley AFB VA, is seeking information concerning the availability of capable contractors to provide 301 Guardian Angel forces require a Parachutist Oxygen System to perform High Altitude jump operations in support of the Combatant Commander (COCOM) mission. The Aerial Insertion Initial Capability Document (ICD) identifies a series of capability shortfalls in parachuting supplemental oxygen systems. Limited duration and oxygen capacity of these systems reduces the range of aerial insertion methods employed by GA forces. Please see the attached draft Justification & Approval (J&A) document. Please comment on the draft J&A. The required delivery is 90 days after receipt of award. For the purposes of the Notice of Intent, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336419 - Other Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. If your firm is capable of providing the requirements described in this Notice of Intent, please provide a Capability Statement to Mr. Jim Robinson, jim.robinson@langley.af.mil, by 6 September 2010 @1300 (EST). The Capability Statement should include general information and technical background describing your firm's experience in contracts requiring similar efforts to meet the program objectives. In addition, the following information is requested: (1) Company cage Code, DUNS, name, address, point of contact, telephone number and email address; (2) Any small business status (8(a), HUB Zone, veteran-owned, women-owned, etc.); (3) Please indicate which NAICS code(s) your company usually performs under Government contracts (4) GSA schedule holders should identify their GSA schedule information which supports the services described in this sources sought announcement. The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies of documents posted on FBO will not be made available.
