- Description
- This is a Sole Source announcement. No hard copy RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution. The Government intends to award on a firm fixed price contract to ACME Cycles, Inc (dba Motoworld of El Cajon), 315 N. Magnolia Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020-307 for jet ski maintenance for 14 existing jet skis to be awarded IAW Simplified Acquisition FAR Part 13. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The jet skis that are utilized by NSWBTC were purchased from Motoworld of El Cajon and were purchased with 3-year warranties. Motoworld is the only authorized vendor to provide service for the jet skis under the warranty provided. The maintenance under this contract is outside of the covered warranty work. This scheduled maintenance is required to preserve the warranty with this vendor as confirmed by Motoworld on 19 Aug 2010 by Laura Patterson. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
