- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for 1 each - PR0115-200-ES16774, 1 each -ATS150-150-U-20P-BMX-NC-9DU-STD coupling, 1 each - ART310-ES16774, 1 each -ART320-ES16774, 1 each - HDZ, 1 each - Alighnemt-PA5Z-Custom, 1 each -Alighment-PA5Z-Custom, 1 each - A3200-MC-Machine-4 ANC Operator, 1 each - NFire-PCI, 4each - NDrive CL10-40, 2 each - C18391-50, 2 each - C16501-50, 4 each - C19363-50, 3 each- NConnection-4500-66, 1 each - TM5-A/56VAC CT and 1 each - Integration-Test AS system.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase these items from Aerotech, Inc. only. The products beingprocured are the stages required for an existing vacuum chamber system to be used fortests of space flight hardware in support of the Fast Plasma Investigation (FPI) DualElectron Sensor (DES) instrument. Replicating existing staging and hardware allows SPIFpersonnel to design and test algorinths and procedures using the first two systems withthe knowledge that the final control and manipulation routines can be immediatelytransferred to and executed within the third identical system thereby maximizingefficient use of time and effort.Authority is FAR 13.106B(1)Only one source reasonably available.This procurement will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will theGovernment pay for the information solicited.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon September 22, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
