Description
THIS IS A SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Respond only to requested information. The Department of Veterans ™ Affairs Medical Center, 8875 Hidden River Parkway, Suite 525, Tampa, Florida 33637 is performing market research to determine if there is a qualified FSS contractor for a Firm Fixed Priced Requirements contract. James A. Haley (VA) Hospital intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source requirements contract with: MEDRAD INCORPORATED. QTY ( 1) 1 Unit already in use. Unit being Replaced is obsolete and is no longer Supported by any vendor with regard to Disposable supplies, making the old Unit unusable. NOTE: this machine is similar to the Trerotola device; unfortunately the Trerotola device does not remove the clotted material from the body. It will only break the cloth up into pieces which still remain, making the Anjiojet truly one of a kind machine that is vital to patient care. The fact that peripheral catherers utilized for these procedures are only available for the model which we are requesting and not the obsolete item which we currently own. The Possis Angiojet us unique machine designed to remove fresh cloths from vessels. The machine has a variety of utilities in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization Lav, as well as the Operating room. This machine connects to specialized catheters also made by Possis. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6. 302-1. interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received by 10 A.M. EST, SEPT 13, 2010, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Vendor offering must comply with FAR PART 25.101a), Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NAICS 334517 and the size standard are 100 employees. No solicitation document is available. SOLICITATION# VA-248-10-RI-0663. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
