Description

This is an extension of Presolicitation Notice for Solicitation No. N4450100436. Independence National Historical Park plans to enter into negotiations with Hirschl and Adler Gallery of New York, NY on a sole source basis to procure a portrait of John Jay by Charles Wilson Peale, circa 1784. This portrait of John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, supports the park's mission to interpret the history of the founding of the US, including the American Revolution, the US Constitution and Phladelphia as the capital of the new nation. The government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any and all responses must be received no later than Sep 22, 2010. A determination by the government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Government.
