Description
* This amendment is to correct an administrative error in the contract numbers below: The Naval Medical Logistics Command has a continuing requirement for multi-disciplinary dental services at Naval Health Clinics and associated branch clinics as well as any DoD or Coast Guard Military Treatment Facility (MTF) within the Southeastern United States to include the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. This need will be satisfied by sole source bridges to contracts N62645-05-D-5024, N62645-05-D-5025, and N62645-05-D-5026 to extend services of the firm-fixed price, personal services contracts. Award will be made to incumbents Cherokee Medical Services, Mid America Health, Inc., and The OMO Group, Inc. on firm-fixed price contracts. The bridge contracts will continue to provide all non-dental assistant services, through 31 May 2011. Services are required for a base period of performance of 01 September 2010 – 28 Feb 2011, and one additional option period of 01 Mar 2011 – 31 May 2011. Dental assistant services will only be continued through 28 Feb 2011 on the bridge contract. These companies are the only known contractors that can provide continuity of care via the eight-month contracts with health care workers who have been privileged to work at the aforementioned sites and are trained and familiar with hospital procedures. The lead-time required for an alternate contractor to recruit and hire a replacement staff, submit Individual Professional Files for each health care worker and for the sites to complete the privileging process does not exist prior to the required 01 September 2010 start date. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to this requirement in a proposal to this office by 2:00 pm, EDST, on Thursday, 19 August 2010, by email to Acquisitions@med.navy.mil (reference code 021J in subject line) or telefaxed to 301-619-6793. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No documents exist and no further information is available at this time.
