Description: Justification and Approval of Sole-source FAR 52.215-3 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as proceded in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and Proposal Costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although "proposal" and "offeror" are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treaated as information only. It shall not be issued as a proposal. (c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of: End of year Pre-planning to obtain pricing and availability. Funds are not currently available. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government reserves the right to cancel the requirement before or after closing. The solicitation number for this procurement is FA4855-10-Q-0094 and is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Notice to all Offerors: This is a Pre-planning Unfunded Requirement. Funds are not currently available for this requirement. No award will be made for this requirement until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel the requirement before or after closing. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-45, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Change Notice (DCN) 20100908, and Air Force Acquisition Circular (AFAC) 2010-0903.
