DESCRIPTION: This is a sources sought to determine the availability of potential sources having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform/provide the SPECIFIED BRAND NAME OR EQUIVALENT EQUIPMENT. All interested vendors are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought including, commercial market information. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a sources sought synopsis only. Questions should be submitted by email to James.Rose3@va.gov. Provide only the requested information below. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Service Disabled/Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB/VOSB), Hub-zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, woman-owned small business, or large business) relative to NAICS 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing (size standard 500 employees). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. SPECIFIED REQUIREMENT: VA Southeast Network (VISN) 7 is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide the following brand name equipment or equivalent: AB SCIEX TRIPLE TOF 5600 FOR PRO APPS1 EA A Quadrupole based (LC/MS/MS) combined with a Time of Flight mass spectrometer in a single instrument. NANOSPRAY III SRCE& INTERF KIT QTRAP1 EA 5500 NANOSPRAY III SRCE& INTERF KIT QTRAP 5500 ULTRA LOW FLOW SOURCE AND INTERFACE DESIGNED FOR MINIMAL SAMPLE CONSUMPTION AND HIGHEST SENSITIVITY AT FLOW RATES FROM 20 NL/MIN TO 2 ?I/MIN. THE REDESIGNED NANO SPRAY III NEBULIZER, ARM, AND MOUNTING BRACKET ALLOWS TIPS OF ANY LENGTH TO BE USED IN ADDITION TO PACKED TIPS. THE NANO SPRAY INTERFACE IMPROVES ION TRANSMISSION IN THE INSTRUMENT. NEW CAMERA AND LIGHTING ALLOWS VISUALIZATION OF THE SPRAY. A FLAT SCREEN LCD MONITOR, MONITOR ARM, CONSUMABE KIT, AND DETAILED INSTRUCTION MANUAL ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THE KIT. THIS KIT SUPPORTS THE QTRAP 5500 AND TRIPLE QUAD 5500 SYSTEMS.
