- Single award contract for the period October 1, 2010 to September 30, 2011 for the Department of Transportation, U.S. Coast Guard. These specifications cover the production of flat (letterpress) and thermographic (raised) printing of letterhead stationery, envelopes, note pads, invitations and place cards. Requirements include multi-color flat and thermographic printing, precision cutting, blind scoring, die-cutting, padding, packaging, labeling and distribution. The items listed in this contract are ordered based on events that occur throughout the year at the United States Coast Guard. It is anticipated at this time that approximately 40 orders will be placed per year. However, the ordering agency will order approximately 1 to 10 items on each print order placed. Letterhead Stationery: Approximately 100 to 15,000 copies per order. Envelopes: Approximately 100 to 20,000 copies per order. Cards: Approx. 100 to 30,000 copies per order. Pads: Approx. 50 to 20,000 sheets per order. TRIM SIZES : Precision trimming on all items will be required. LETTERHEAD STATIONERY: 7 x 8-1/2", 5-1/2 x 8-1/2", 7 x 9-1/2", 8-1/2 x 11", and 8 x 10, Thermographic or flat printing (as indicated on the print order) printed one side only in 1 or more Pantone ink colors on White Recycled 25% Bond, basis weight: 24 lbs or 28 lbs per 500 sheets, 17 x 22), equal to JCP Code G45 or White Strathmore Fairfield or 7 x 8-1/2", 7 x 9-1/2", and 8-1/2 x 11"printed as stated above on L0315 White 100% Fine Writing, basis weight: 28 lbs. per 500 sheets, 17 x 22", equal to JCP Code D50. 5 x 8", 8 x 10" and 8-1/2 x 11" Thermographically or flat printing (as indicated on the print order) printed one side only in 1 or more Pantone ink colors on 20 lb. White Writing, per 500 sheets, 17 x 22", equal to JCP Code D10. 7-1/2 x 10-1/2" Thermographic or flat printing (as indicated on the print order) printed one side only in 1 or more Pantone ink colors on Cream Crane Cotton 100%, basis weight: 20 lbs. per 500 sheets, 17 x 22". The following cards will require Thermographic printing or flat printing (as indicated on the print order) - 4-1/2 x 3", 5-1/4 x 3-1/8", 4 x 5-1/2", 5-1/2 x 4-1/2", 4-1/2 x 5-1/2", 5-1/2 x 4-1/4", 4-1/2 x 5-3/4", 6-1/4 x 4-1/2", 6 x 4-1/2", 6-1/4 x 4-5/8" printed one side only in 4 or more Pantone ink colors or black (line matter) and 4 or more Pantone ink colors on White Strathmore Fairfield 2 Ply, or smooth white cover 65lb/100 lb, or *** Vellum Bristol, 17 point ***. The following card will require Thermographic printing and fold from a flat size of 5-3/4 x 8-1/2" to 5-3/4 x 4-1/4". Print one side only in 4 or more Pantone ink colors on White Recycled 25% Bond, basis weight: 24 lbs. per 500 sheets, 17 x 22", equal to JCP Code G45. NOTE: *** Color, finish, and formation shall match the Government Standard Sample. The color variation between the cards, and envelopes shall not exceed DE(CIELAB)=1.0 ***. PADS: 4 x 5-1/4", 5 x 8", and 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" Flat printing one side only in black on White Writing, basis weight: 20 lbs. per 500 sheets, 17 x 22", equal to JCP Code D10.
