- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - This procurement action is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1 with the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirement; therefore proposals cannot be submitted directly on this notice. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Middle East District, Contracting Office intends to extend the period of performance on contract W912ER-09-C-0054 awarded to Fluor Intercontinental, Inc in September 2009 whose address is 100 Fluor Daniel Drive, Greenville, South Carolina, 29607, for facility operations and maintenance services, as well as vehicle maintenance and repair services, in Iraq. The period of performance for the extension period will be 30 September 2010 through 29 January 2011 (4 months), plus three (3), 1-month option periods, for a potential total of a seven (7) month extension. The three (3), 1-month option periods will be exercised at the sole discretion of the Government. All services performed under this contract will continue to be performed in Iraq. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however, all quotes received by 27 September 2010 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All interested firms must respond by 27 September 2010, 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, to Betty A. Rogers, reference: W912ER-09-C-0054, at betty.a.rogers@usace.army.mil and must include the following information in the response: 1) capabilities statement; 2) documentation that shows the firms ability to provide the required personnel by the start date of the performance period, which is 30 September 2010. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Middle East District, will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
