- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation # VA-241-10-RQ-0681 is issued as a request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27. This solicitation is unrestricted. North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 711130 applies to this requirement and the size standard is 7 million. The government intents to award a firm fixed price contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Period of performance, which will occur at TOGUS VA Medical Center Chapel, ME 04330, shall be from 1 October 2010-30 September 2011. CLIN 0001, Base Year, 53.00 EA Singing performances for October 1st, 2010 to September 30th, 2011 CLIN 0002, Option Year 1, 53.00 EA Singing performances for October 1st, 2011 to September 30th, 2012 CLIN 0003, Option Year 2, 53.00 EA Singing performances for October 1st, 2012 to September 30th, 2013 CLIN 0004, Option Year 3, 53.00 EA Singing performances for October 1st, 2013 to September 30th, 2014 CLIN 0005, Option Year 4, 53.00 EA Singing performances for October 1st, 2014 to September 30th, 2015 The contractor will serve as Protestant song leader and has full responsibility for leading the music in the Protestant service (i.e.13 per quarter “ 1 each Sunday). This includes special music not to exceed two per service (e.g. opening song and special song prior to sermon) as well as leading not to exceed three hymns from the Chapel ™s Protestant hymnal. Key requirements include U.S. citizenship, knowledge of Protestant music, and at least one year of professional experience equivalent to the level which has demonstrated both practical musical knowledge and skill in a Protestant worship setting. Educational degrees in music are appropriate, but are not required. The ability to read music is preferred, but not required.
