- Updated SOW dated 15 Sep 10 **The SOW has been modified based on the site visit 15 Sep 10** COMBINED SYNOPSIS - SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS (IAW FAR 12.603 (c)) (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation/synopsis reference number is F1M3T40190A001 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44, Dated July 8, 2010. (iv) This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The associated NAICS code is 337215 with a 500 employee size standard. (v) Contractors shall submit a lump sum quote utilizing the provided RFQ quote sheet in addition to an itemized price list for a Kardex Remstar Megamat tool system (brand name or equal). The itemized price list must be clear, concise, and in sufficient detail for effective evaluation. An optional site visit will be conducted on 15 Sep 10 at 10:00 EST and is highly encouraged. All contractors shall meet at the Dorchester Gate Visitor's Center, Charleston AFB. You must contact, TSgt Susan Reinhart, at 843-963-5159 NLT 14 Sep 10 by 3:00 pm EST with the names of all who plan to attend. You must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration to get on base. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered. (vi) F1M3T40190A001 - Kardex Remstar Megamat tool system on Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. (See attached statement of work dated 15 Sep 10). (vii) Delivery for this acquisition is FOB destination Charleston AFB, SC. (viii) The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award: (full text of clauses and provisions may be accessed electronically at this website: http://farsite.hill.af.mil) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial (ix) FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items Evaluation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers in the following relative order of importance: 1.Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement. 2. Price. The Government will evaluate the total price of the offer for the award purposes.
