- SCOPE: 1.The Architect/Engineer shall provide design services necessary to furnish: Schematics, Design Development, Construction Documents, Technical Specifications, Construction Period Services, Site Visits, Cost Estimates, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information for Project 553-10-109, Expand Hemodialysis, at the VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. This project expands/reconfigures the existing Hemodialysis space to allow for an additional 2,100 square feet of space to be used for hemodialysis stations. Work shall include but not be limited to all architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, demolition, fire protection, and appropriate phasing drawings and specifications: "Work includes expanding existing Hemodialysis Space by an additional 2,100 square feet. "Existing Hemodialysis is located on the second floor and occupies approximately 9,000 square feet. This Area shall be reconfigured to compliment the expansion. "New work will expand Hemodialysis to the west, into the current Social Work Suite (Social Work Service is relocating to the First Floor prior to construction). "Work shall include all Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Demolition, Fire Protection and Appropriate Phasing Modifications. "A/E Firm will be responsible for providing an independent fire code review of the Construction Documents. "The Construction Project is planned for FY 2011. The actual construction is planned to start in early 2011 and be completed by early 2012.
