Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS), 2200 Ft Roots Dr, N. Little Rock, Arkansas intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Illumina Inc., 9885 Towne Centre Dr, San Diego, CA 92121 for new genotyping equipment and upgrades to existing Illumina BeadChip lab systems. Location of equipment is at the VA Medical Research Center in North Little Rock, AR. The attached justification provides additional details. The NAICS Code 334516 applies to this procurement. The CAVHS believes that Illumina is the only company that can provide the equipment to work with existing Illumina equipment. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties that believe they can meet these needs must furnish sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement no later than 4:00 p.m., CST, 09/27/2010. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how they can meet the VA requirements. Information can be sent to Thomas Yerkey, 2200 Fort Roots Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72114, fax to (501) 228-8651 or email to Thomas.yerkey@va.gov. All Information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. If no responses are received within the period indicated, CAVHS will proceed with the award to Illumina Inc.
