- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Allenwood, PA intends to award a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source, to GE Healthcare, 3000 N. Grandview Blvd., W443, Waukesha, WI 53188. This award will be for a diagnostic imaging service agreement to cover the following equipment: 1) two (2) GE XR XRD-L Digital Rad Table 2 (DET) (XRA580), 2) one (1) GE XR Definium 8000 2 Detectro (XRA590), and 3) one (1) GE XR Definium700 AMX Digital Mobile (XMB200). This service agreement shall include tube coverage, detector coverage, and table replacement parts, as well as corrective maintenance service and planned maintenance service. The NAICS code is 811219 with annual receipts not exceeding 7.0 Million. The period of performance for this procurement will be for the two (2) month period of October 01, 2010 through November 30, 2010. To the best of our knowledge, this requirement can only be met through GE Healthcare. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations as no solicitation document is available. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been certified and approved for GE Healthcare. Other vendors who beleive they can meet the above requirements may provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 29, 2010 3:00 P.M. (EST). Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability of the vendor to supply maintenance services that will comply with the requirements in a satisfactory manner. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Interested firms must provide a Capability Statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point Of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, Business Size, and DUNS Number. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to GE Healthcare. Responses may be emailed to dzwilliams@bop.gov by the deadline stated above. All vendors are hereby notified if your response is not received by the date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
