Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number VA-262-10-RQ-0529 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) as a brand name or equal. Brand name or equal description is intended to indicate the quality and characteristic of products that will be considered satisfactory to meet the agency requirements. No telephone requests will be accepted. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43. The NAICS code for this procurement is 337127, and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. These below listed items will include Wright Line brand name or equal products/items on all Furniture System Line Items, such as Fabric Inserts, Shelving, Walls, Skins, Cores, Trim, Cabinet doors, etc.., to ensure conformity and standardization. Items will be used to configure an Emergency Operations Center for the VA Medical Center in Room 4078B/4081 in San Diego, CA. The Area in Room 4078B/4081 is being redesigned to meet functional needs and requirements to plan and operate the incident command system during a disaster/emergency. When not in use for ICS, the Area will be used for training and education. The solicitation is for durable goods only and does not include installation.
