- Description
- An industry day forum to discuss and initiate small business, large business, and institutes of higher learning feedback on Department of Defense (DoD) Information Analysis Center (IAC) program changes and related acquisition strategies will be held on 15 October 2010, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern, at the Defense Logistics Agency Headquarters Auditorium (Andrew T. McNamara Complex), 8725 John J. Kingman Road, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-6217. Attendees will need to send their name, title, organization, email address, and telephone number to iacconference@dtic.mil no later than 12:00 PM Eastern on 12 October 2010. Once that information is received attendees will be provided with additional information regarding directions to the complex, parking, check-in, etc. Please direct any questions regarding this registration process to Glenda Smith at (703) 767-9113 or gsmith@dtic.mil. Industry input was integral to the development and execution of acquisition strategies for the recently awarded Data Analysis Center for Software (DACS) Basic Center Operations (BCO) contract which was conducted as a small business set-aside (https://www.thedacs.com), and the Software, Networks, Information, Modeling and Simulation (SNIM) Technical Area Tasks multiple award contract(s) which was conducted on an unrestricted basis (http://iac.dtic.mil/snim.html). Likewise, the Government intends to maintain an open dialogue as we incorporate lessons learned from these first two acquisitions, in order to ensure the development of a viable strategy for future IAC Program acquisitions. For those not familiar with the DoD IAC Program, you may visit http://iac.dtic.mil/. In addition, you might be interested in downloading DoD Instruction 3200.14, Principles and Operational Parameters of the DoD Scientific and Technical Information Program for some added insight (http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/pdf/customer/STINFOdata/DoDI_320014.pdf ).
