Description
Include with response pkg SF-1449 Response pkg Provisions Synopsis SF-1449 The USFS has a requirement for the following: 1. 2 (two) X-Ray Fluorescent Analyzer Machine The following requirements need to be provided as follows: 1. Portable with safety hand strap. 2. X-ray spectrum display. 3. Radiation Safety: User shall not receive an exposure to more than 0.09 mR/hour when using the instrument. 4. Tilting, color, LED touch screen display. 5. 12 months or more warranty. 6. Inclusive on-site training for minimum of 1 day. 7. Weight shall be 3 lb or less. 8. Safety feature: Minimize licensing requirements by using < or = to 50 kV x-ray tube, while not losing the wide range of element detections. 9. Safety feature: Automatic filter changing, no manual changing of filters requiring opening of the unit in any way. 10. Safety feature: Unit cannot come on unless user deliberately takes steps to operate the x-ray: no automatic sample readings, no override switches. 11. A built-in camera for recording sample locations, particularly important in archeological work. 12. Standard battery life of a minimum of 6 hours on a charge. 13. Tamper proof encrypted data transfer for maintaining the integrity of the data. 14. Software specifically designed for data handling from the XRF with full spectrum viewing. 15. In order to interface with outside computers, the unit must allow for connections made with standard USB and RS-232. Bluetooth is also required due to the many new modes of electronic communication. 16. Vendor must be willing to take in the old XRF unit currently owned by the Federal Government (Niton Xli 700 unit), properly dispose of it and its source, and provide the FS with proof of transfer and disposal. Cost for this must be included in the bid. 17. Must include analyzers for mining, bulk/soil. 18. At a minimum, the XRF must be able to produce the following reading in the soil mode: As, V, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu Zn, Sr, Mo, Ag, Cd, Sb, Ba, W, Au, Hg, Pb, and U. 19. Include hard case and two battery packs with charger.
