The VA Medical Center, West Haven, CT. intends to award a sole source award to Philips Medical Systems North America inc,for the purchase of the 3T MN SPECIALIST R2.6 Multi-Nuclei Spectroscopy. This order is for upgrade components to this facility's 3T Philips MRI System. Items are proprietary and must be purchased through Philips Medical to maintain FDA compliance with our MRI System. The attached justification for other than full and open competition reflects the rationale for this procurement.
