- Description
- Replace the entire heating system in the Ketchikan Federal Building, Ketchikan, Alaska. The intent is to replace all existing boilers, steam generating equipment piping, steam heating coils fittings, radiator/convectors, valves and valve devices, to improve the energy performance of this historic building. The existing old technology steam boiler system is to be replaced with a newer technology hydronic system, and a bio-mass boiler utilizing wood pellets, to provide for a better comfort level and control, as well as higher environmental and fiscal accountability. The new boilers are to be selected with efficiency as a key operational factor.
