- Description
- ADDITIONAL Q&A TO ALL INTERESTED VENDORS: In light of ongoing developments, 27 th SOCES has requested that all quotes include a priced option CLIN for cameras. •1. The solicitation calls for 13 camera mount brackets. In question #1 asked by a vendor it states (1 - Is Cannon AFB looking for video surveillance cameras to work in conjunction with the call boxes?) And the answer is that they would like a camera to turn on after a call box has been activated....Now, do you want us to provide cameras as well or just the mounting brackets as originally indicated? A----If possible, we would like the vendor to provide a camera that would take a video image of the individual(s) that push the button on the box. Ideally, they would also provide the camera. That being said it would depend on the overall cost with the camera and without. •2. In the original solicitation it stated that you wanted to utilize a 1 button phone model RR733 and then install that into a stanchion or columns...This model is actually a PBX phone line call box...However, when the question (number 5) was asked...the response was a radio based call system...This now has you wanting 2 different types of call boxes...Are we wanting a hard lined (PBX) call box or a radio call box or even a cellular call box? A----We need a call box that has a wireless solution. There are areas where these boxes will be located that there is no communications infrastructure. Ideally it would be a radio call box. •3. If they come back with a radio based call box...please ask if they want a UHF, VHF or a 800 or 900 MHz system. A--For a radio system we would use VHF and For cellular, we would use 800MHz
