- 1. The Department of the Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington, plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Uniform/Rags Rental and Cleaning services for JBLM, which consists of JBLM-Main, JBLM-North, JBLM-McChord Field, and JBLM-Yakima Training Center (YTC). The follow-on contract for Uniform/Rags Rental and Cleaning will be for JBLM-Main, Directorate of Logistics (DOL). For this requirement, JBLM-McChord is not currently included. A complete Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be included in the solicitation. The Request for Proposals (RFP) number is W911S8-10-R-0030. 2. The solicitation will result in a contract being issued to a single contractor. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed-price requirement contract. The contract will consist of a one-year base period, with four one-year options. The applicable NAICS code is 812332- Industrial Launderers and the small business size standard is $14.0 Million. This procurement is unrestricted. 3. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be provided in an electronic format via the FedBizOpps website, https://www.fbo.gov/ and the solicitation will also be posted on the JBLM, MICC Directorate of Contracting website, http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc/, under Solicitations. The tentative solicitation issue date is 14 October 2010 and the anticipated closing date is 12 November 2010. Interested offerors are advised to consult the actual solicitation for final dates and times. 4. Offers from all capable and responsible business sources will be considered. Firms offering a response to this notice must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database http://www.ccr.gov/ and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) https://orca.bpn.gov/. Offeror must ensure that the applicable NAICS code 812332 is included in the CCR profile prior to submission of proposals. 5. Prospective offerors are urged to submit any questions they may have, in advance and in writing, to the Contract Specialist, robert.e.lentz@us.army.mil.
