- Purpose of the Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAA AMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contact with a selected source via single source procedures. The FAA, William J Hughes Technical Center intends to award a single source contract to UNICOR. The furnitures that are currently being used by the FAA to support their requirements and therefore unable to obtain through any other known source. UNICOR brings the following essential data experience: -UNICOR products are compatible and offer interchangeability with existing standardized furniture components in use at the WJHTC. -Furniture components from another source would not afford ability to integrate, repair, and reconfigure the office space in a cost effective and efficient manner. *** Statement of Work *** I.PROJECT DESCRIPTION The work includes the provision of all labor, materials and equipment to renovate and update portions of Building-305 at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, NJ. Building-305 Is approximately 3,289 square feet of administrative office space. Very little has been done to this part of the Building to make this office space more efficient. 1.(Procurement of Workstations) Includes the purchase and installation of twenty three 8'X 8'workstations and one 8'X8' Secretary workstation each of the workstation Shall consist of(1)-90 Corner worksurface,(1)-24" worksurface,(1)-60" worksurface,(1)-36" worksurface,(1)-60" flipper door shelf,(1)-24" flipper door shelf,(1) Key board tray,(1)-60" Task light,(1)-20" Task light,(1) Center Drawer,(1) Mobile Pedestal,(1)-30" Freestanding File,(1)-60" Tack Board,(1)-24"Tack Board,(1)Corner shelf,(1)CXO Office Chair,(2)-24"X66"Panels,(4)-36"X66" Panels and(1)-60"X66"Panel. Secretary workstation will require (1)-36"x 42" Panel and (1) 36" Counter Top. Theirs (2) existing Unicor workstations that need to remain in the existing location so the New Unicor systems furniture can connect to the inside panel wall it is very important that the systems furniture be compatible with the existing Unicor systems furniture.(Additional Information) See drawing number 247821-A701. *** A full and open competition is not available for this procurement. If you're firm does not agree with the single source determination, please provide evidence of you firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above services, the FAA will evaluate this accordingly. All responses to this announcement must be directed to Jason Kuo, no later than 3pm EST on September 22, 2010.
