Description
SUBJECT - Database Administration Services for Business Intelligence Product Line (BIPL) This award notice is for Informational Purposes Only. On September 17, 2010, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition and Logistics, Contracting Office, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724 awarded a contract on a basis of other than full and open competition for the Office of Information and Technology (OI&T). The Firm Fixed priced (FFP) contract, VA118-10-P-0117,in the amount of $3,678.999.92 was awarded to Grand Strategy, LLC., 15038 73rd Street, South Haven, MI 49090-8976, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, to provide Business Intelligence Product Line (BIPL) Database Administration Support. The synopsis number associated with this action is VA118-10-RP-0471. Requirements include services to provide database administration operations and maintenance services to the BIPL team. This includes the maintenance of Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) and Regional Data Warehouse (RDW) databases, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Scope includes establishing a standardized database environment and establishing efficient database processes which will allow for robust management and analytical reporting. This project is based upon the need to have a standard and efficient database environment across the BIPL continuum of functions. Place of performance shall be at the contractor's facility. The period of performance of one twelve (12) month base period plus three twelve (12) month option periods, if exercised. This effort was awarded under the Veterans First Contracting Program. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)(or 10 USC 2304(c) (1)) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-5 entitled, "Authorized or required by statute," pursuant to the authority of Public Law 109-461, codified at 38 U.S.C. 8127. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 541519.
