Description
REPLACE TWO SEWAGE LIFT STATION PUMPS (AUTOMATION WING BASEMENT) AND TWO STORM WATER PUMPS, AND INSTALL BACKFLOW PREVENTER, ETC., FAA AIR ROUTE TRAFFIC CONTROL CENTER (ARTCC), 299 WOOLSEY ROAD, HAMPTON, GA. IMPORTANT NOTE: PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO CHECK THIS ANNOUNCEMENT REGULARLY FOR AMENDMENTS THAT MAY BE ISSUED, AND TO ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT AT THE TIME OF PROPOSAL SUBMISSION. This project is 100% set-aside for competition among small businesses under NAICS code 237110, Water & Sewer Line & Related Structures(size threshold - average annual receipts not to exceed $33.5 million over past 3 fiscal years). The work includes, but is not limited to the following: Install a backflow preventer (BFP) in city water supply line on FAA property. The BFP is to be installed above ground and within the fenced area east of the fire pump building. The BFP will include a bypass with double check valves and drains to protect the bypass valves while not in use. A securable insulated cover with freeze protection heat will be installed over the BFP and bypass. New branch circuit(s) will be provided from power panel. Replace two sewage pumps and two storm water pumps located in the Automation Wing basement lift station. Re-use existing electrical branch circuits. Pre-proposal Site Visit: Thursday, October 7, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. Contractors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Estimated Price Range: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00. Performance Time: 90 calendar days. Proposal guarantee of 20% of proposal required. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
