- ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS SUBMITTED BY CONTRACTOR. Answers: 1. Not sure what he meant by a spec change. I did not intend to change any of the specs if we ended up painting the floor. I wonder if I have misspoke. The specs for the repair of the concrete floor is still good. 2. The Hush House currently has 3-PH, 220V and Single phase, 110V electrical power. But we can have 3-PH, 440V available for the project if necessary. 3. Removal of the epoxy paint is one of 3 main objectives. I already called out repainting the floor as a separate item. I'm not sure if there's an advantage of separating out the epoxy removal job from the rest. I believe it's more work for you (Contracting). 4. Yes, we have considered the effects of water and ice on exposed concrete floor. If we have the money we definitely want to repaint the floor. It all comes down to how much it'll cost to repaint the floor. 5. Same reasoning as item 4. Have you reposted the spec changes discussed by Lt Col Chin at the site meeting 2. Please confirm that 3 phase 440 v electrical power is available within the building 3. Could the removal of the epoxy paint be a separate contract award to the optional re-painting 4. Once the existing epoxy paint is removed, have you considered the effect of water and ice to the exposed, raw concrete surface 5. Once the existing epoxy paint is removed, have you considered the effect of chalking or other concrete particles to become airborne Terry Mannion VP Sales & Marketing Chartres Corp. / Hiller Systems Deck Covering and Fire Protection Systems 251 661 1275 x 7943 (office) 251 217 9197 FAX 410 963 1160 (cell) Tmannion@HillerCompanies.com www.HillerCompanies.com www.Chartres.us.com
