- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared on accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network 6 Contracting Office intends to award a firm fixed price unrestricted contract. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number VA-246-10-RQ-0694 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through most recent Federal Acquisition Circular and Veterans Affairs Acquisition regulation Supplement (VAAR). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 811219. Size standard is $7.0 million.The following services. VAMC Asheville Medical Gas System Repairs Scope of Work Area Alarms Provide parts & labor to retrofit (7) existing Hill-Rom Analog alarm panels identified as "correction needed" in the 2010 Annual Systems Inspection Report to Amico Alert- Digital area alarm panels: (4) three-gas (oxy/air/vac); (2) two-gas (oxy/vac); (1) five-gas ( oxy/air/vac/nit/nitrous). Provide (7) NFPA-99 certifications of retrofitted area alarm panels following installation Troubleshoot (4) existing area alarm panels identifies "pressure/vacuum indicator defective/not electrically powered" to determine course of action required for correction; minor adjustments will be made if possible. Label approximately (59) individual area alarm signals as to a) the correct gas and b) the correct" areas/rooms/zones being monitored by this alarm panel." Zone Valves Label approximately (115) individual zone valves as to a) the correct gas and b) the correct areas/rooms being served by this zone valve. Provide parts & labor to install (9) zone valve gauges that have been identified as "no gauge" or "inaccurate" in the 2010 annual Systems Inspection Report. Provide (27) NFPA-99 re-inspections and documentation of all repaired gauges. Provide parts & labor to install (2) missing zone valve handles. Outlets Provide parts & labor to repair (21) outlets identified as having leaks or low flow in the 2010 Annual Systems Inspection Report; primary check outlet repair kits include O-rings, springs,poppets, flat washers, hairpins. Provide (21) NFPA-99 re-inspections and documentation of all repaired outlets. Adjust Oxygen system pressure down to 55 psi. Adjust Nitrous Oxide system pressure up to 50 psi. All quotes will be evaluated in accordance with technical capability compliance with the solicitation requirements and price. The contractor shall return a completed copy of this provision with the quotation.
