Description
Introduction: Pursuant to FAR Part 12 and Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the Ground Application Program Office (GAPO), intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to: RevMedx, Inc., 9755 Southwest Barnes Road, Suite 505, Portland OR 97225. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. 1. Nature and description of the supplies or services required to meet the agency's needs: Installation of a Class 10,000 Clean Room, Hydraulic press, Drying Oven, and a Water Purification System to be used in the next phase of development of an Advancement Haemostatic System (AHS). The AHS concept encompasses a haemostatic control medium of small, compressed sponges, treated with Chitosan, a proprietary haemostatic agent, and a delivery devise to introduce the sponges into a deep wound channel. 2. A demonstration that the proposed contractor is the only source available to provide these services or goods (i.e. unique qualifications, proprietary rights, etc.): RevMedx owns full rights to the data and proprietary information for a unique hemorrhage control system using small compressed sponges, treated with Chitosan, which expand rapidly when introduced into a wound channel and very quickly establishes a durable homeostasis. The installation will take place at the RevMedx facility in support of a larger Research and Development effort. At this time RevMedx is the sole source of the capabilities needed for the AHS processes. RevMedx is registered as small business under CAGE 5WD76. 3. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division via e-mail to: rosemary.hill@us.army.mil no later than 5:00 PM (EST) September 22, 2010. Contracting Office Address: RDECOM Contracting Center - Natick CCRD-NA-SU, Natick Contracting Division Kansas Street, Building 1 Natick, MA 01760-5011 Point of Contact: Rosemary Hill, Contract Specialist (703) 704-3580 Rosemary.hill@us.army.mil
